Living in Lac la Biche is living beside a designated bird sanctuary. The lake attracts very many pelicans. I love to watch them as they hold their wings rigid and play on the wind currents. They are very large birds but they are often so high that they are just specks. Their distintive call will be heard clearly even though I cannot see them.
